The wording about this past event became "possibly" and "might be" final as it got closer. During the "final weekend" I was told by a GGRM official in the know that there was a chance 2472 would polish the rails again for at least one member event and possibly a truly final Spring public weekend depending on moving prep.

I've always understood the April timeline to involve their operating agreement. I would be surprised if PLA changes the locks when GGRM is making good faith progress, but crazier things have happened. Asked when to expect them in Santa Cruz I was told it was looking like later '16 with all the logistics and variables involved. It's still speculation all around without having any dry ink on actual agreements. Until then the foamer cognoscenti can keep the froth alive, though hauling 2472 by truck over 17 is now my favorite out there theory to date.
