A freind walked the entire un-parallel-roaded section of the NWP summer before last. His conclusion in brief is there were a couple of seriously damaged sections totalling a couple of miles. Those are the ones you see pictures of. He said 95% of the right of way was intact and looked good. Kind of like the vids of the '89 earthquake of the collapsed freeway and the Marina burning. Much of the world thought San Francisco had been destroyed!
