"But someone has yet to explain to me the economics of bringing grain from the Central Valley to Novato on a rail line that runs north to south. I don't understand where the savings comes from."
This belies the fact that Ms. Arnold apparently knows nothing about the basic "interconnectedness" of the US rail network that makes the whole thing work.
I wonder how she feels about WB and EB I-80 running North and South in the East Bay...
