A good trimmer gets $20 to $25 an hour. It has forced up the effective minimum wage in the area. "Why flip burgers for minimum wage when I can get more from a grower?" Of course it is seasonal work.

PBS had a program on the subject. The local constabulary said they couldn't wait for legalization... less hassle.
