Thanks Max. I sure do like the track beacon/GSM-R setup better than the PTC one (whether it be ATC, ETCS, or ERTMS). Seems like a lot less links in the chain that could fail. Plus, it is based on proven technology not something that has never been tried before. Sure, the GSM part here would fail miserably due to lack of signal on a lot of ROW here, but could have been replaced with something else (220MHz).
