OK, I stand corrected by the Examiner article; MS Ry doesn't have one and doesn't want one. But note that those are essentially scrap piles already; if neither museum that has a copy wanted one for parts, one wonders whether they should have been scrapped long ago.
Interesting, though; a few years after SF converted to the Boeings, Sacramento and San Diego started up using Siemens U-series cars of similar style (though without the high/low platform tweaks and much simpler otherwise). San Diego only recently replaced theirs, and Sacramento doesn't appear to have plans to retire theirs any time soon. Newer cars from CAF were added in 2004, and some of the old (1980s also, but rebuilt recently) startup cars from VTA are now appearing on the Blue Line, to cover service expansions. So if you want to ride 1980s light rail cars in regular service head to Sacramento!
