Worked 472 (actually, 472's Extra, since by then it was out of the timetable) many times when I was in Pool 2. 12:35 AM on duty at Bayshore. It was always referred to as either 472 or the Tracy Rock. The crew layer over in Tracy and came back that evening on the City Rock.
In the Seventies, the EPT would called in mid-afternoon, so it would make Redwood Jct ahead of the Fleet.
They ran a Hayward Turn out of Bayshore for a while in the early Eighties (1983-ish), with a mid-afternoon call time at Bayshore.
