If some companys finally end up as the last two standing, Who do you blame for that? The two remaining (anythings) will be at each other's throats for final dominance, Monopoly. It makes all customers of these services or goods very much loyal to the fact that they can be further influenced by side incentives, promotions and suggestions to other non-affiliated businesses, that you've made a "Mason/Dixon Line" instead of a real attempt to gain customers. All we need now is the negitive-add-campaining between rival corporations.

I learned about ten years ago about an increase of consumers trying to stop buying from the big corporations. Mom n Pop stores are on a resurgance in popularity and market share. What do the big guys do? Buy them out. If a smaller, more established third option for service is there, there is at least a healthy competition.

A wise mentor of mine (a prominent business owner) used to say that "Threedom equals Freedom". If it's not, there is no healthy competition, and in most cases regular shoppers become VERY loyal customers because of it. Essentially a "Shopkeepers market"- not good for the consumer.......
