Of course, we all know that money grows on trees to pay for grade separations..... and would this be the most impacted place to start, right? I support more grade way more separation, but, back on earth, where I live, the tooth fairy doesn't build them for us, does it?
Quiet zones are quite doable, all you have to do is agree, as a City or County, to request them, and figure out a way to pay for them. If this line was done to be "quiet zone" ready, as was noted previously, then this would likely be less costly...... That will probably satisfy most folks with a real bone to pick on this.
Of course, even when you do meet the reasonable demands of those seeking actual solutions, as we all know well, that will still not stop the fringier hard core "princess and the pea" types from bitc#ing and moaning. Because, as we have seen many times over, they'll just find some awful new thing about the "evil" train that will almost certainly rattle their little cages, too.
Oh well?
