I was working Taylor one summer afternoon, when we had one of those very rare but very intense summer thunder storms, and the LA River, suddenly "filled up". Out of the river. adjacent to the aptly named gang tagged "Frog Town" hood, came a truly biblical hoard of frogs, jumping across much of the lower B yard and C yard, which made for some very slippery operations for a while, until the frogs returned to the river.

I use up a lot of sand that day, if I recall.
