Another thread that used the magic word "SMART".....and, that certainly adds a few more data points to test that hypothesis of rail fan education level and behavior improving...?
I've always expected this request from almost all of these cities..... It's just too bad for their taxpayers that this will now be a more costly "retrofit", rather than incorporating that into the initial design and construction.
The proper whistle signal, is a "communications" signal, it is two shorts (not longs), when starting (forward) when stopped. It is three shorts, when stopped, for a reverse movement.
