Interchange tracks are numbered from east to west 601 thru 603; UP sets out into 603 and pulls from 601 with 602 being the "runner". ORHF's spur comes off 601 and is under control of the OPR. There are three additional spurs; 604 where the tenders are stored and 605 where the turntable from Brooklyn is stored. Track 606 is the farthest to the west and is leased to various individuals and not an operating track.
OPR stores part of our excursion train in 604 and uses the remaining room in 604 plus 605 for switching which has become very congested due to heavy transload traffic. The UP 96 is currently in 605 for the time being; however, ALL it and of the rest of the ORHF collection in 604 and 605 will need to find a new home very soon.
Hope you're un-confused now!
