Any relation to Nick "the Greek" Harris?

I was once a genuine "stimulator" "Hoghead" for the "friendly" SP, in my misspent youth, not some "groundling" conductor.

Later, I took the "buy out" and spent a number of years as a "gubmint" bureaucrat, and a private consultant, planning and analyzing all kinds transportation projects. Like the impacts, costs, and benefits of new transportation projects and technologies on travel demands, operations, and the environment, as a transportation economist.....

That experience included LRT lines, Busways and Carpool Lanes, commuter rail, "intelligent" transportation systems like automated traffic controls and vehicles, clean vehicle technologies, HSR, LOSSAN, and even freight on the SD "Desert" line, including a few massive traffic, travel demand, and travel behavior surveys (no, not for Chris Christie....), collecting and crunching that "big data".

Nowadays, I mostly drive Miss Daisy down to see the grandkids, ride my Gold Line with my "geezer" pass.... and still occasionally consult or teach a class.

What a long strange trip it's been.....
