(Let's not make this a mud-slinging fest please)


Given Trump's history of (and seeming preference for) the leisure industries, is this now the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to remake the focus and function of Amtrak's long distance trans?

Will his Administration take the lead on converting the long distance fleet into a more amiable leisure experience for travelers? Will he cow-tow to the more tightwad members of the GOP and try to kill off the long distance trains? Or will this Administration simply default to the status quo and keep long distance passenger trains as an afterthought?
