Trump is essentially cribbing the Obama administration's ideas on infrastructure here, even on the whole railroad thing, with a doomsday critical crybaby Trumpian twist, i.e., saying the U.S. sucks and is horrible compared to everyone else and we must start winning again. But guess what, the Democrats had a got this effort five years ago and were stopped in Congress. What makes anyone think that they are going to be more receptive to the Donald? Will Donald be able to negotiate his way to a huge infrastructure bill? What will he be giving Congress in return? Abortion ban? Voting rights act that removes protections in Southern Republican states? Leaving NAFTA in place?
