Well Joe, you sound like a troubled man.

I just stated what I saw making the trip. I grew up in a time when they were called "Wet Backs" because they swam across the river to get into the US. Political Correctness doesn't have anything to do with railroading. As far as doing track work, I did my share and ran locomotives from 67 to 69 in the Army. Also did 42 years on the right hand side for the SP. Been there, done that but no tee shirt. Got a safety jacket instead.

As a side note, did you know when the SP still ran the SD&AE they tried to get the time spent by crews running in Mexico, removed from the hours of service time during the 16-14 & 12 hour shifts? Glad to say it didn't work.
