Actually, thats years away - perhaps just mudpie in the sky!
The Monterey And Richmond Southern (MARS) railway, which was apparently commissioned by congress just after the current President lost his majority, is already nearing completion. Though there was controversy at first, it was quickly discovered that its passenger business will definitely exceed all expectations, in fact, in exact multiples of the original projections. It therefore seemed a no brainer - even at 40 bizillion per mile.
Most of the equipment has been delivered. Limited passenger service has already begun on some segments, and Q5 testing is well underway on the rest. It has indeed proven very true, that passenger business has greatly exceeded all expectations, even in exact multiples of the most wildest of projections; which were of course - zero.
But there are still very great concerns that freight traffic, which was counted on to cross-subsidize the passenger business. will itself fail. Though this railway's design and construction is truely out of this world, there is as yet, nothing to be shipped - not even much hot air - not much air there to make hot. Perhaps congress can solve that too!
Seems there are no manufacturing facilities on Mars!
Can't we at least make these fanciful threads plausible.
