If the CORP retains ownership of a portion between what it abandoning and the UP connection at Danebo, any future for the new shortline is doomed before it begins. That means the "new" railroad (most likely to be operated by the "wizards" at ODOT) must share whatever revenue afforded by the UP must be shared with CORP...a sure loser much like the Wallowa Union shares its revenue with the I&NP.

We'll just have to see how it plays out....at least the ball is rolling.
