Freedom means you must be willing to put up with people being free to express themselves, not necessarily responsibly, or in a grown up manner, or even in a sane manner. Altamont is just fine, it is a far truer reflection of freedom of expression, and openness than TO will ever be.

Liars, fools, whackjobs, and nutters are all around the internet these days, full of bull$#it, and Altamont sure gets its share. But, most of the reliable and sane long term posters on AP know that, most of the fools are easily identifiable by their insane rantings, and it would appear that most thoughtful intelligent members of the AP community are able to hold their own against such fools.

Remember that trolls, nutjobs and whackos also need love too....and some appear to use AP as a dating site..... Soon, I expect to see the wedding invitations for SP2472 and Hutch to go out, and we'll all be invited.....

And, I'd miss Jim Speaker's posts most of all.....he's definitely one of the most entertaining of the crazy foamers I've ever read....just don't follow his example....
