Forester says BNSF started fires, sends $460K bill

Sprinkle the forest with your garden hose. Hadn't thought of that one, Mr. Forester.
How about keeping the brush and grasses down? Keep a green area around the house? Make sure your roof is not made of a readily combustible material? Those seem like a good idea? You can even use your little garden hose to keep that green area (such as your lawn) green. Be responsible, or at least make an effort. Yes, even well prepared people have bad things happen.
How about that guy on the KHQ newscast last week who only a month or so ago bought a house that was literally inches away from the trees. "Wanted to be close to nature," or something like that. He acknowledged he was lucky his house did not burn down when the fires swept though his neighborhood.
Based on the learned replies of the other posters, I will agree that choo choos start fires. I just want to see more of the evidence of the cause.
