If you've got a real wind driven forest fire picking up sticks and keeping the grass down will do about as much good as the garden house. It leaps from tree to tree, across roads and fire lines, and really can't be stopped by man. Only running out of fuel, cresting a ridge, or the wind going down will stop it. You ever see one of those close up? Don't be too hard on the guy whose property gets in the way of one of these.
