I heard on the news tonight that all the fish at the hatchery had been moved. Engineers expect the lake to crest the emergency over flow sometime Saturday. The emergency over flow will cause no damage to the dam but an extended period of time of 100,000cfm of water should cause considerable erosion to the hillside and no other options to release water. The closest the lake has been to overflowing was 97' when it came within 1' of cresting. All flood control of the Feather River will be lost when it crests the top. With a whole new series of storms set to hit the middle of next week it could be a disaster for Oroville and Yuba City. Will be an interesting story to follow.
