Nisqually Line Track testing Saturday

Saturday afternoon 3:30 PM, saw AMTK 188, Coast Starlight Passenger car and AMTK 163 heading North on the newly rebuilt Nisqually Line (old NP) for the Point Defiance bypass.

They were doing about 10 MPH and could see some people on I-5 were slowing down to look. This is the first time I've seen this, but it was on another website that Tacoma Rail crews were going to start running the track to check that everything is good; with speeds of 40 MPH soon.

Train was at Tillicum area along I-5 near the exit to Madigan Army Hospital/JBLM

RR Crossing signal testing is being done too, friend of mine got warned twice in this area earlier in the week by Sheriff Deputies because he ignored the crossing lights. I told him soon it will be 79 MPH trains, not 10 mph.
