Exactly. I went to school at CAL in the early seventies and the bay air was always clean. Now when I go back I can't see across the bay. In a state concerned with clean air and water, electrification would seem to be a no-brainer. Also it seems that LA would have a far better time of it if they electrified the railroads in that area. You can't even run a gas lawn mower down there without running amuck of the clean air regulations and yet they don't see diesels as a problem. California is a nest of hypocrisies. Glad I don’t live there anymore.
