Thank you very much for the compliment! I really appreciate that.
Sorry -- for some reason I forgot about hydro. LOL about the
Columbia River drying up! Yes, hydro is definitely a renewable
source of energy. When you mentioned hydro power, I thought of an
excellent book I had read about dams and water in the US West.

Please read "Cadillac Desert: The American West and Its
Disappearing Water", by Marc Reisner, first published in 1986.
It is an excellent explanation of where we in the western US get
our water, and who made the decisions about where it goes, and
why, and has much fascinating info about dams -- why and where
they were built This book should be required reading for everyone
who wants to know about the role of water in the US West. It is
not partisan -- just filled with fascinating stories an d facts.
It is a very well-written and masterful piece of investigative
journalism.
Read and learn.
