Good old Blinkie. He was the yardmaster in Wat. Jct. and then he took a Trainmasters job. He knew what the score was and really was great official.

Leaving Salinas the frontage road was on the ocean side going east. I had them wound up and looked over and there was a white car pacing us. Behind the wheel was Blinkie he was stroking his chin with a huge grin. (That was the sign that officers were in the area.)

Sorry to hear he is gone.
