As I said, "dutch drop" isn't a strictly defined term. I never really heard the old heads in SF use it very much; jackass, yes, dutch, no.

How hard you kicked them depended on which track they were going into and whether the tide was in or out. Ace and deuce? Is that all? Usually the pin puller didn't pull the pin until given a pin sign from the foreman or field man (Visitation had power operated switches, so the field man was never out in the field). You've never let 15 loaded rock cars go (gently) -- really made the ground shake when they made the joint.
