Yea -- I remember the big stink just a few years ago when WS-DOT started the new Hwy.520 floating bridge project. Since the new bridge would be a toll affair, WS-DOT suggested also tolling the Interstate 90 floating bridge, knowing that many drivers would avoid the 520 tolls by heading South a few miles to I-90. Much mayhem & threats of lawsuits ( most from the Independent Kingdom of Mercer Island ) resulted in WS-DOT scrapping the I-90 tolling idea. ( For now... )
