Gentlemen, I do believe that Richard is questioning the connector from the Palmdale cutoff to
the Cajon Pass (UP/BNSF) lines. I think the original intent was to give LA trains off the UP a away to go north without going all the way to Barstow but then there's another situation just like it down at Devore.
