Reading through the STB filing, I see that one Bruce Addington signed one of the documents as Goose Lake Railway LLC's president. A brief amount of searching on the internet turns up that he is also the owner and president of Cornerstone Minerals, the perlite mine in Lakeview and the railroad's largest shipper.

What's crossed my ears the last year or so is that the shippers became fed up with Lake Railway's service and pricing and evaluated many options, including at one point establishing reloads in Klamath Falls and bypassing the railroad completely. This is what happened instead.
