I visited Steamtown in Scranton, but never got to it in Bellows Falls. Both had great potential for "time machine" photos, and this one is a classic example. Taken in 1972, but looks like 1942 (someone correct me if that power wasn't running then). My daughter saw her first steam trains at Scranton, and got her first Thomas the Tank Engine set at the nearby mall. My son never got to see it, but maybe we'll get him back there someday. Great place where kids of all ages (including us) can wander around through a bit of history. I really cherish the photos and memories of my one visit to the East Broad Top. Now there was a real time machine. Not just the trains, but more so the buildings and servicing crews. Don't worry about the graininess of your photo. It adds to the impression that it's from a much earlier time.
