So if we gave up defense a bunch of money would be given to Amtrak
Wellllll
There's an awful lot of folks that think if we gave up defense a bunch of money would go
to THEIR favorite rathole.
Most of those groups outnumber/out lobby trainfans.
There is a pie of money- always getting bigger by a trillion here and a trillion there deficits, but nonetheless a pie of near finite size.
So boo and hoo not everybody gets what they want- don't EVER say 'deserve'.
Oh and BTW it doesn't help that Amtrak organization has been stupid from the start.
Perhaps a fix -don't ask ME what- that is too overdo would help. MIracles sometimes happen and the stars align- the Staggers Act was one, albeit Staggers had little to do with it- the act got his name as a sop so he would sit down and shut up.
Now as to the greedy__________ y'all folks that just luuuuuuuuuv CAcaHSR must by now
realize that the tactics used to sustain that tapeworm are the same as the dread M-I C, only the players are Brown, Pelosi, Parsons, Labor Unions et al- they want pie and don't care how they get it.

I urge folks who manage their personal finance as they would have the governments do,
to see how long their own money/lifestyle lasts.
