i just sit around and open my pockets when it gets this dysfunctional. Business on the West Coast is up. The UP is 10% short on Power and Omaha refuses to pull units out of storage to fill the gap. Most trains that show tied down have one unit to keep them on air. They were departed and tied down to wait for power and make room in the yard or they were put in the siding left with one unit so the power could make the next scheduled train and there was no room to receive them. Roseville to Bakersfield is a parking lot. The extra boards don't have enough people so guys are constantly in FR status with a lot of people working off assignment, two and three crews to get a train over the territory. There are many other problems with the railroad trying to attain a 55% operating ratio. The rail and tie gangs will be south of Fresno starting Jan 7th from what I hear, this will only make it worse with the daytime windows. Omaha just keeps up with the same old line "All is Well".
