The crossing was about 300 yards north of the High Bridge, where the Marmion Way/Avenue 64 off ramp and bridge are today. The low bridge was in constant danger of washouts. The original right of way is still partially visible today where it goes down from Figueroa Street at the top of the Arroyo down the hill to where the interchange with the Pasadena Freeway is today. It is easily accessible to urban archeologists.

Until the building of the new high road bridge this original ROW grade was used as an early auto route, for the horseless carriages. You can see pictures of them using this route where it crossed the UP line, and later the PE, at Figueroa in old photos from around 1905
