Yeah right? People who choose to live in cardboard boxes, because they really have houses and apartments, but choose not to live in them. WTF? I've worked downtown, taken the trains, and seen a lot of homelessness, plenty of bad things that result.....
But, it appears to me, that this reporter set out to do a real hatchet job story, about how this homeless invasion is somehow taking over the trains and the stations.
Yes, she did some work, finding some great shots, finding urban horror stories, complete with "urine soaked" tales of "feces and woe". Which would appear to be more about the real "victims" of "homelessness" here, those poor urban "urine soaked" yuppies on the train, and making this "thesis" of hers into such a classic modern "storyline" of our pending doom from the breakdown of civilization due to this newest sudden onslaught of urban decay.
It's a truly "lurid" story line, an LA Times "scoop", about how Metro is apparently in a state of "urine soaked" anarchy under siege by roving hoards of peeing "homeless". It's just too bad that based on my most recent rides on Metro, and seeing no urine nor any feces, that maybe this reporter is feeding just a few of her more "genteel" Times readers, a wee bit too much of that crap, that she seems so worried about.
