I subscribe to VR but not the top of the line service. It's a cool product. But there are issues. For instance I've had trouble with some of the live cam feeds freezing. I've done everything I was told to do to prevent it from happening on my computer but it keeps happening anyway. The Cajon cam is the worst. I don't even watch it and it's the one I want to watch! La Plata and Horseshoe curve cams are usually freeze free so I don't understand why they don't freeze but the Cajon cam does. It drives me nuts.
The Ft Worth (Tower 55) cam is OK but the feed does freeze from time to time. It's probably the busiest location VR has for freight trains within the United States. But its almost useless at night because lighting is terrible. Can't tell a BNSF train from a UP train on the north/south tracks. The cam has a zoom but it seems to zoom at the wrong time so to see engine numbers it can be a pain in the ass. It also will not pan to the left far enough to see trains on the northwest curve track leaving or arriving UP's big yard in FW west of Tower 55. WTH??
VR is expanding rapidly. They plan a bunch of new cams including one at Fullerton and I heard Spokane mentioned. But they gotta fix that damn Cajon cam, please.
