I'd be curious if Brightline and LA County might jointly fund some realigning Santa Clarita-Palmdale and double tracking of the Antelope Valley Line in the short term. Hasn't Metrolink been studying that the last year with county funding? I wonder if that could be finished years faster than waiting for the long Sylmar-Palmdale HSR tunnels? Maybe by 2028? Or is there some California Coastal Caramel Commission bureaucracy that would drag anything out for years and years?

Is Brightline planning on using FRA-compatible equipment, so they could run on Metrolink?

Are they planning for diesel HSR to start, with electrification later?
