Funny, the NTSB did not draw any conclusions on the effect the texting had on the operation of the train only that this was a normal behavior of the engineer. I have not heard anything about the time sync, and review of all sources of information. We still do not know the cause and may never fully know.
Perhaps, the congress would have not reacted if it were not election time. Also I note they only required installation within 36 months, but did not fund it. UP is not going to install it as it is not on their RR, so where is the money coming from to fund the project. LA will not vote for it, so what next.
