How high is too high? California now officially has the highest fuel tax in the nation, an honor previously held by Pennsylvania. We've had higher-than-average gas taxes for decades yet our highway infrastructure continues to crumble and our public transportation network is a disjointed afterthought.

Now we have the highest fuel tax in the nation and people suddenly think Sacramento will be a good steward of our money? Y'all are delusional. Other States do far more with a lot less. This is just more subsidies for campaign contributors and their ilk whose existence depends entirely on the overflowing public trough.

It will never end until there is no more. It's unsustainable. A trillion in debt, highest homeless rate in the nation, outrageous housing costs, a foreign invasion of entitled illegals, massive crime with manipulated statistics since Jerry and Co. changed what were once felonies into misdemeanors, human waste and used needles on the streets, a fleeing middle class, and billions in unfunded liabilities.

Eff California. The left's incrementalism will doom the State.
