Hahaha...getting aboard a caboose is about as easy as it gets. Try getting on a bulkhead flat or tank car at 7 or 8 mph, in the middle of the night, with your lantern and lists in your hands. Add in rain or snow for some added excitement. That's when you separate the men from the boys. Still, it can be done safely if done right. But that's nothing they would ever teach nowadays. Lost art.
