Who could have imagined that the CHSRA is mismanaged?

Nnimby's, wannabee's, and whackjobs, and the politicians who pander to them are out in force today at the CHSRA meeting on the base "evil" base tunnels, today. So doubtless there will be many more stories this week.
For all of the utter nonsense prattled by tribal partisans, I've found that Newsome has been probably the most skeptical and concerned member among the current State officeholders on the claims and progress of the CHSRA promoters. So you may be surprised, I believe from folks I've talked to, that Newsome understands, that this "mismanaged" project needs to be "fixed". What the "fix" is, is the question still to be answered.
This report is one more piece of evidence showing that this project needs a fundamental overhaul and "Plan B" to salvage what we've wasted so much on, and see if we can find a more affordable to build, operate, and ride, HSR alternate, likely a more modest HS system, in terms of performance, compared to the slavish devotion to only the "super high speed" option. This is the current CHSRA option, that now appears to be on its way to becoming the most expensive HSR system, that CA taxpayer money can no longer afford to build.....
