European example: Stadler Valencia Eurodual types:
• Eurodual for HVLE, Germany: 2800 kW (diesel), 7000 kW (electric), built 2018
• UKdual for BRLL/DRS, UK: 708 kW (diesel), 4000 kW (electric), built 2013 (at the time by Vossloh)
The Eurodual is superior to the ALP-45DP power-wise, and tractive force-wise (a little bit lighter, but it has 6 axles, and more advanced control electronics (10 years make quite a bit of difference in this field)).
Bombardier (TRAXX AC3) and Siemens (Vectron) do offer the Last Mile Diesel option, where a small diesel motor is installed (we talk here of maybe 300 kW at most).
