Both operators (Caltrain-with-a-lowercase-t and HSR) are being dragged kicking and screaming towards the logical solution of sharing all six platforms. It ought to be possible to turn 16 trains per hour on six tracks. There is no storage here, because a busy terminal is the worst place to store trains. Get in, unload, reload, and for the love of Stephenson’s Rocket, get out!
