There was a car barn for cable cars on Calif. It sat there for years until they finally took the tracks up.

How did this play in what was left?

(In 66 I was working for Comac Signal putting in CATV before I had to show for the draft in Oakland.) We had the bucket truck, blocking part of the "Main" between Calif and where it ended into the regular system.

Talk about a thrill a minute. Watched a oriental driver not looking where she was going and she nailed the end of our the lift truck. Did some damage to the lift equipment. She just backed up and started to take off. The Foremen was yelling at her to stop and she still was trying to leave. He tossed 2, 14" span bolts that went into her windshield. She stopped. SFPD showed up, called a tow and cuffed her and gave her a ride to the cross bar hotel.
