I disagree that Google News or an RSS feed could take the place of Railroad Newsline. Show me a computer with the cognitive ability to filter out the good, bad, funny, boring, happy, sad, interesting articles to my liking and I will reconsider. I don't expect Google News to be transformed into a cybernetic organism capable of this anytime soon. That's where the human element comes in.

This board doesn't really have an intent. It tends to focus on western railroad operations, but that isn't a requirement.
