India has chosen standard gauge for its metro stock. For the same obvious reasons that DC and Atlanta also chose standard gauge shortly after BART.

What treachery Bechtel was up to at the time was clear then as now but who wanted to wreck their career by whistle-blowing? You know the expression "You'll never work in this town again"?

Look at what happened to Van Ark for importuning the Ranch. I am sure he is laughing now.

If there is such a thing as karma both Bechtel and the Ranch deserve a dismal future.
