Moving on the Mococo

Sayyy, how's the PR dept within the UPRR doing these days with the "on the horizon" resurrection of the once dormant Mococo line with regards to smooth talking all of those homeowners who bought that piece of property within earshot of the line that was once a vibrant stretch of track ?

It's too bad that the old SP executives in the building on Market street didn't leave in place those long gone rails over Altamont that in these strained capacity days could have been put back into service without rattling the houses & nerves out on the Mococo line...........

Isn't the distance between Oakland & Tracy shorter via the Altamont than on the Mococo ?

Is the old ex-SP ROW just that: Long gone & never to once again be laid with rail & traffic ?

I would think it would cost about the same to resurrect either
