So "Carl Sagen" where do you get this nonsense about these supposed "golden parachutes" for the CAHSRA consultants?
When their contract's are up, you don't renew it, and you stop paying them. That is, unless you wisely inserted a clause to allow you to terminate services, with reasonable notice, at any time.
Is that bit about "golden handshakes" sourced from the usual place these tidbits so often seem to come from? Yeah, CAHSRA is a complete cluster-f#ck, but this kind of BS sure ain't gonna fix it...is it?
Taxpayers need to really keep the pressure on Gavin, and the Legislature, since the "self serving" "consultant driven" "sorcerer's apprentice's" supposedly "managing" the CAHSRA fiasco still seem to be busily pissing millions of our taxpayer dollars away by continuing to push the $19 to $25 billion dollar Pacheco project, to generate more "future" work to "manage"... All despite the fact these folks haven't been able to even finish anything they've started, thus far.
Since these management consultants are being paid by the amount of work they manage, why would they ever try to generate costly projects to build? I mean, with that model of consultants who manage the project, and get more work from a more expensive project, proposing the most expensive project they can build, what could possibly go wrong for the taxpayers paying the bill????
So how many of you, who aren't happy about this taxpayer financed fiasco, have called "our" "gubmint" policy makers, to ask why these unaccountable "consultants" are still wasting millions of taxpayer dollars doing planning segments for more useless segments, for which we don't have the identified funding to complete, and which will do nothing to relieve Bay Area congestion? All these tax dollars continue to be pissed away while a much needed project like LAUPT run-through still has no full funding commitment from these useless eunuchs? Why?
Didn't the Governor tell us that we were stopping this wasteful boondoggle? So why are millions in taxpayer dollars still being wasted on segments we can't afford and does nothing to meet our most pressing transportation needs?
Some folks still aren't hearing the message, so maybe they need a reminder?
