Scott Moore, UP Vice President said the Challenger would not be part of the steam program in the future, at Omaha.

Dickens is not the ultimate authority.

If Omaha wants the Challenger restored it will be restored. If Omaha chooses not to restore her, as is the case now, she will sit.

A change of leadership at UP could see her restored or the entire program mothballed and the engines stuffed and mounted.

The UP CEO said recently "There are no sacred cows." when speaking about the UP as a business going forward.
