Kettle Falls International Railway

As you may know, Omnitrax has been shopping their line from West Kettle Falls, WA, to Grand Forks, BC, to anyone that may be interested since they gave up the lease on the rest of the original KFR back on May 1. Word is that Frontier Rail/Columbia Rail will be taking over the operations of the "San Poil" line from Omnitrax on a lease basis beginning November 1 of this year. Unknown at this point what the new name, if any, will be for their operation, nor what locomotives will be used. Omnitrax has definitely had its share of trouble on this line as of late, with service curtailed for days at a time due to bad ordered locomotives, and a minor derailment. If I was a betting man, I would say that the customers are counting the days until Omnitrax and their lackluster attitude are replaced for good.
